How You Can Help
 
We have a few ways that people can help out, get involved and serve the church community.  If you are interested in serving in any of the following ways, just let us know!  Contact Jessie Hayes in the church office at 301-251-3719
 
 
Greeters- We have a greeters ministry that is dedicated to welcoming visitors to the church. After the Sunday morning service we have a visitors room, where greeters are standing by with coffee and a little pastry or such to welcome newcomers, answer any questions and just be a friendly face.
 
Ushers- We have a few teams of dedicated people who perform duties that help the service run as smoothly as possible and help keep things in order.
 
Housekeeping- Our church keeps clean and tidy due exclusively to the efforts of the volunteers involved in the cleaning ministry. Its a menial task but someone has to do it and we sure are glad they do! They work in teams and are assigned to clean the church about once every two months.
 
Sound- We can always use people to help run the sound board. An ear for music is helpful with this place of service as it include monitoring microphones for speakers as well as singers/musicians.  We also can use people to run the slides on the big screen that contain the words to the songs we sing in worship.
